Last weekend few PCVs came to the house to prepare for the "Camp Glow"(encourage youngers to enpower themselves, it stand for Girls Lead Our World.) for whole past week.
One day fish pond staking got cancelled due to the funeral of one farmer's son drank in the creek.....I went visited my two officer friends - Ba Hamangaba on the roof drying his maize and Ba Lloyd standing next to a motor bike, three of us firmed the trip to escort Ba Hamangaba's wife and new baby to come home from his parents' home in Southern Province.
Both officers were from the Souther Province, now Ba Lloyd'f wife (a school teacher) is back to her parents' home for the school break so I will be visiting all four sets of their parents before coming back to Luapula, while discussing on it, we added on one whole day trip to see the Victoria Fall in Livingstone.....whao, it is a trip I have been thinking even before I came to Zambia. After all we are going to have Barbara from Northern Province to joint us too. But Barbara will not visit any of these parents, she will be go straught back after visiting the Fall.
My effort on encourage villagers to have gardens and raise paultries, small animals is on the going but still too slow, especially on manuer collections for the number fish ponds growing...so I am pushing on to raising pigs these days......I have Ba Hamangaba and Ba Lloyd scheduled many garden and animal workshops.....Thanks to their help to make sure my fishes will not be hangry when they are in the ponds......
