Early morning coming out of Dali, a funeral was proceeding on the street.....the guide said that the one in the front wore the red hat that meant the one passed away was over 80 year of age and left behind at least 4 to 5 generations.....
we went higher and higher up the elevation....... The farm land were all well cared for......wished my Makasa people can learn all these.......
In Lijiang, we had another handsome tour guide, you can see he had been in the cool weather, hight mountains, on the horse backs.....and this one had sharp language on pressing all tourists to buy anything and everything at the stores that he led us to...... as that the tour guides do not have pays from tour company or government, so they take commissions from the stores we shop. If we don't shop, it meant that we were looking down on his service......how strange this is???
This is Naxi minority area, and they were so proud of that they had preserved and using their own primitive writing and said, "See Chin dynasty conquered China over three hundred years, but they did not keep their own writings." True, and so what.....I am on vacation, not here to raise issues.
Trip getting sour a little, lucky that I have these two youngings around me at most of time....so we gave up the group dinner (most others too) and hang around the old town and ate tons of little local treats.......they are Hau at the left and Gou at the right.
a pretty Naxi girl might be hired by a photographer, I took picture of her from the side, and she paid me a nice pose....Thanks to her sweetness.
tons of tourists I believed they all were, in this huge old town of Lijiang.
Old Chin government building is still sound.....
rain started to come down......
could it be raining a lot here.......the sign said "the sky rains with its frequencies." hope I understood this sign in the good and right way.....
when rain was getting lighter, we walked back to hotel....although we ate enough little things, but still decided to share a famous local hot pot in small size before going back into hotel....
the two lovely young men served me all kind of food well the whole evening......
Thank you, Hau and Gou.
