last posting was up to March 20th's fish harvest at Makasa.....

After the harvest at Makasa, I took ride from PLARD and DOF officers in their return to Mansa. Thursday went to visit the City Planner office on Lukali School project and hoped they would have vehicle to go and have a look again....of course not, what a surprise....at least kept updated by them with its progresses, that was not a bad thing.....

I was to stay in PC house Friday and Saturday, and take Sunday's day time bus to Lusaka for my COS physical exam, thanks to Jeremy, Bethany and baby Bronwyn to come take me to their farm on Friday, my birthday.  It was a treat.

The farm house with huge veranda.....
guarded by a dog and open range chicken....
running water, and hot water system...you just burn the twigs on the coiled pipes and hot water goes up to the tank and circling in tank by its own till been used.....whao.....
bunk house for missionary group visitors......
Farm keeper's house....
Chicken houses for egg productions.....these huge red faces, I thought they were males....but not....
Jeremy started the open range chicken to teach villagers to have more chicken at home.....
the crib for small chicks........
When they get bigger, they can be free whole day and stay in their high condo in the night.
So there were these discussions at all times.....which is better on either side of these fences???
The farm has 4 parcels of this sized plot, with different crops planted....
Few fish ponds....Bethany was RAP PCV in Luapula years back that they met here. Jeremy is in missionary work in Luapula from Spokane, WA.  They married after Bethany's COS; wedding in NY and Spokane, reception in Luapula......Now baby Bronwyn is one year old.
her good friend at her eye level.........
and other friends - moving or not......
We had the Chinese dishes for dinner cooked under the sitting sun....
The next morning, Bronwyn helped making the French toasts for breakfast with great prides.....

Of course, Mom had to take over to speed it up......

First bite for Dad......how sweet it can be......
relaxed a little before a big day to start.......
Ready to go to the learning center in town for Bronwyn's birthday party......
