Parted with Barbara in Mansa, I went to PLARD office with my new individual farmer, Ba Annabelle. After we had met with officers in office that day, Dr. Abila took us to see the Provincial breeding ponds and its related facilities - the pig pan, the chicken house, the gaarden.....where Ba Lumbwe told us that Ba Chiti was on the way to Lusaka for his sister's funeral......I am so sorry to heard that.
My deepest sympathy to Ba Chiti and all his family and relatives.
The fertilized fish eggs has to grown up on the egg york the first day or two or three of their lives, when the egg york is lighter they are bigger in size, they will be able to float and swim and go look for food for their own......these containers were the fish mama subtitudes-keeping fry with york with protaction, till they can be up and swim they will go into the next container and be transferred out to any where......
Lots of chicken to make manuer for the fish ponds....
When fingerling are able to float and swim, they will be put into the pan for deliveries within a few days.......
Yes, wanting to become a fish pond farmer is a good idea, but one has to know that there comes lots of details to be done, in order to make a business with a good profit. Ba Abila and Ba Lumbwe were emphasizing it all......
Besides the showing Ba Annabelle about the fish pond farming, we also got the one day field trip for Makasa farmers confimed. PLARD's 28 seater bus will take Makasa farmers and DOF Samfya officers to see farmers in Mwese and Yasakwa on the day after - April 11th.
Thanks to Dr. Abila and all officers in PLARD and DOF Samfya.
