Victoria Falls

We went into the Park of Victoria Falls early in the morning so we can be back on time for the sun set boat cruise at 16:00.  The park is still not have map for visitors, so I took picture from the wall in order to see all the most of things to be seen.

we walked to the high land above the falls....
the land mark in the park........
At this same point in April 2011, when I was there with Barbara, it was all water on the wall and no cliff to be seen.......

Look at this funny bird with double peak on its nose......

we met people on the trails.......good to have others to take our pictures.....
Charles from England, but he was grown up in Africa....

Sandy in white shirt, from FL and Elise in yellow shirt, from Peru.....
One of the locals.....
The boiling point.....
On the trail up to the exit, the baboons were just came out.........
We lunched at the Sun International next to the swimming pool with life entertainment......they have a few zebras and three giraffes in their property...
Sandy and Elise's Orbis's doctors and nurses shown us the pictures of the falls with rainbow that made us went back in to the falls again just to have the rainbows as much as we wanted.....

Dinnered at the church run Olga Italian restaurant and Bob had to perform his "Great Hunter's" inherited skills.....he got one each fly in one ale bottle and one drinking glass.......

the second day in Chobe.......

The second day started with lion's morning calls way early right after the rain stopped a little after mid-night.......that kept us stay in the tent for good few hours......
A dead elephant is still good for lots of birds for months after.......

Beautiful scenery with peaceful animals and birds everywhere........
this wild dog was still sleepy I think......
The Kudu needs a ride on the boat???
Survey for where breakfast located???
Beautiful huge bird......
Beautiful the small one..........

Hmm.......beautiful drifted wood and ?????.........

At man made water hole the smallest one is at the center of it......
The baby is milking........

Geiroffs are visiting each other???

The game drive at Chobe National Park, Botswana.

On the way to lunch, there were Warthog mama showing her babies way to a restaurant kitchen's back door.
After lunch we first encountered a huge herd of elephants walking toward us, but walking slightly to our right in about 10 feet distance and kept on, but this largest one at the end of it all, came straight to the front of our vehicle and stood there to tap his left front leg for a few seconds that felt like a few hours....than he walked to pass us on our left, so close that I could have touched him if I extended my arm out......of course, NOT....When he was next to our vehicle he was at least another 2-3 feet tooler....whao....

Genets came on large herd too......at least 20 -30 of them at this time.....
Griefs at river bank and were eating the sand or dirt or whatever......I thought they can't bent the heads lower than their hearts???

This is amazing, all large animals has cleaner birds on them.....

We waited long, long time for the six lions to take action on the "kill".......

action finally taken.....but they did not play it real......so we moved on.....
Watched tortoise crossing....
Right before it was real, real dark, this leopard was right at the road side....but not good for my camera.....only one I took it anyway.....
Good food at the camp......
New friends Sandy and Elise.......

Bob had arrived on time......

November 12th, 07:00 Bob just walked out of the arrival gate at Lusaka airport.

Dr. Marum was so nice to make the breakfast for all us......

Ba Jennipher took this picture before we started.......
That evening I made the dinner that Barbara did come with Marcia and we all had great time catch up and making new friends......
13th we travel to Livingstone on bus that I was taking it as granted and forgot to prepare Bob about all the vendors and "helpers on luggages"......I used to just igore all of them and there Bob was to be polite to begin with, but ended to expect to pay tips or to buy anything they were selling....bad first trip in Zambia for Bob......it took him few days to cool it all down.....sorry, Bob.

The 14th we went on to game trip at Chobe, Botswana that started with a 2-3 hours of boat drive and checking all large herd of animals from both sides of the Zambizi River banks.

First seeing one Hipo it was so excited....than there were huge herds here and there and everywhere....
Elephants not only came to drink water they bathed with water....
and spread wet dirt or sand on their backs......
wonder around more......

peacefuly co-exsiting with all huge and small ones.......

Behind the Bob and boat and guide was the land of Namibia......we were all thinking how to make a landing for just for a picture or whatever.......

More elephants after, we and other tourists did the same thing - jump off from the boat to have a picture or two and back we went back to the other side of river to end the boat trip and have lunch.....
At the dock, we can see four countries' land - Zambia, Botswana, Naminia and Zambawi.
Bob had only double entry visa for Botswana trip, we can't do the official visit to Namibia....
