The night we came back from Livingstone, I made a dinner at Dr. Marum's home that Barbara and Marcia came and met Bob too. The next day, good that we were leaving South Luangwa in the mid afternoon so I was able to go to PC office and went with Ba Dorothy to the immigration office to have my work permit extended.......but as usual the answer was, "Oh, it will be easy. All you need is to go to Mansa's office and you can extend it in no time.".......but I was there, why I couldn't just have it done there??? It is here.......that's why......
We arrived in Mfuwe airport and The Flatdogs Camp had a guide and a vehicle waiting.....Sun is getting down and wind was stronger and stronger while driving towards the park, seemed the rain is coming at the corner.........at the gate, it was totally dark and sand and the leaves blown side way, Bob and I decided to call the "Quit." This was not an usual choice that either one of us make easily, but this was the time. We were contented to checked into a luxury chalet and went for the gourmet dinner for change.

Rain did come heavy in the night, so the next day's game drives, we didn't have problem with the dust when met up with other vehicles......the Park is huge, we did not meet many of other vehicles anyway.
The guide was introducing the Sausage tree and its fruit that is hard on skin and can kill an animal if it dropped on their heads, so he would never want to stop the vehicle under anyone of those trees.
These Sausage tree fruits have these beautiful flowers.....
In South Luangwa, there were smaller herds of almost all animals, but some many more specie's.....they were not lake of Giraffes for sure, and the cleaning birds on them.......
Wheather or not, there were more species of birds and storks here than in Chobe, or we missed out watching them because we pay more attentions to the huge herds of animals???
How rich of their colors of these Great Gray Storkes???
"Attention, the bird passengers, please hold on tight."
Not huge group of them at any time, but there were more expressions on their faces.....or only I thought so???
The guest house right at the river front with Hipo neighbors around......

Or we had just came into their nursing ground???

This one is for Mom only. Don't even come close! She used her hind leg to kick one smaller one out.
This teenager elephant was singing and dancing?!?!.....or telling us to keep distances???
Talking about protesting.....One can argue till face got red, but the transpassing is still on the coming anyway......
There were the calmer ones too.....of course, these big guys have bigger hearts I would think.......
It doesn't matter what was the color of the father.......calm and still were the same.
Apartments for rent???
Too hot, the ones on the trees.....the under grounds' would be cooler.....

All parents had their catches for the babies......
The Warthogs were more closer to vihecles....even with their babies around......but babies were always protacted.
This was a treat, at the end of the morning drive, we had this one cousins deer families standing next to the road......got to ask Bob what was the name for this one.
At returning to the camp, just noticed this sign......isn't this funny!!! The Camp with no camping???
In the afternoon before we flow out of Mfuwe, we walked around the Camp and the dried river bed not far from our shalet......our room number "2B".....to be or not to be?!?!
Monkeies were all over the property......
"Whao........lucky that we were alive to see this note."
After all we have had a wonderful time in South Luangwa.......would want to come again, no doubt!
