Second try for the pix from October 2010

Late October I had fun to show one women group how I think the peanut candy was made as I remembered from when I was in Taiwan. This group really worked it out and made 100% profit of it. The second group was not working as fast when they cut the candy into squares it all went crumbled and last totally for they said "no one will buy it." what a different in the attitute that made all that differences.

10/31 I had dinner at DOA officer's home with his wife and his neighbor DOL officer with his wife we had a great time eating even tried the deep fried worms than we played pool at the only one table in Mabumba market place with invironmental technicine....It was a great time for all....never seen or heard female played pool here so we did not do it again....the 2 wives were not as intereted in it anyway....... I have checked in to the in service training, got a room to share with another PCV from Northern Province, than went to the Sunday Market and came to PC House......Now I can try again to post some fun pictures with the field officers from Dept of Agrecaltural, Dept of Live Stock and Environmental Technicine and their wives...

The 3 officers homes are close to the market, one even has electricity at home that was where I kept meat once, but still had to bike 15 minutes to get the meat to come home and cook so I stopped that practice quick........

We did once on 10/31 play pool at the only one table in Mabumba the market place 4 Km from my home. here are some of those good time pix....... Cheng 1/9/2011

10/14/2010 my second villagers' meeting at my front yard, the housing committees were elected to take care of my house.....I was able to use Bemba Language to introduce myself and state what I will work with them.....now I do not speak as good as freshly out of language traingings.....When school started again in late January, I will choice one school teacher to tutor me my language again......

some pix you might already seen but......I visited my first fish pond, saw the chicken with no feather on necks....had two 14 yr old kids to work out the tipping bottle water system to wash hands easier......started kids time table while watching their Moms pounding casava.......my cat was born on 10/15/2010.......Cheng 1/8/2011

Happy New Year to all from Lusaka, Zambia.

I have arrived 3:45 this morning to a 2009 PCV's post home in Lusaka, only a few blocks from PC House. Sarita lives in a two room one bath gust house. She let 2010 PCV Barbrara from Northern Province has already here since Tuesday and me to stay in her guest room.....so Barb let me to sleep in bed till 8:00and she stay reading on couch for I had 12 hours bus ride from Mansa, Luapula since 15:00 yesterday.

There has better connection on internet and more countable power, so I better post notes and pictures......Whish you all have a wonderful Year 2011.
